  1. Hi Jesper,

I have stumbled upon your website after reading your posting on Reddit here:
    https://pay.reddit.com/r/bitmessage/comments/1yfzf4/centralized_and_decentralized_mailing_lists/

I am curious to know why you are using SSL for your simple website? (https://)

On your other website you are not using SSL:
    http://www.buzzingandroid.com

So what I really want to know from you is where you got SSL? If you are using OpenSSL, then please tell me your experience. If you are using another free SSL, then I really like to know it because I don't know of any other open-source SSL.

To my mind, if there is an open-source SSL, then website with a memership area should use SSL on their site. Unfortunately, many websites don't use SSL.

I am a big open-source enthusiast. I prefer FirefoxOS instead of Android. I am telling you this because of your interest in Bitmessage.org and in Bitcoins. I would like to know from you whether you are using FirefoxOS on your smartphone and if not then what is your reason? It's easier to develop apps for FirefoxOS than for Android and you are interested in security and privacy.

Do you know Tox.im and are you using it? A blog article from you about Tox.im would be great.

You are not using Captcha (Security Code) for your blog or am I wrong? Is it safer to ask the user to calculate a mathematical operation like 5+9-8 ?

It would be great if you could help the open-source community developing tools and websites for Vertcoin. If you take a look in Vertcoin, then you know that it is better than Bitcoin or Litecoin:

I'm using SSL because I think it should be the standard for web sites.

      > On your other website you are not using SSL: http://www.buzzingandroid.com So what I really want to know from you is where you got SSL?

I haven't implemented SSL for BuzzingAndroid, because it requires a webmaster@domain (or the like) email address, which I haven't set up (yet).

I'm using StartSSL Free (https://www.startssl.com/?app=1). It is free, but you have to renew it every year. I have been using it for a few months now, and I cannot complain.

I haven't really heard of FirefoxOS, so I cannot really comment on it ;-)

I don't know what tox.im is, but I have heard it a few times before so I may look into it at some point

      > You are not using Captcha (Security Code) for your blog or am I wrong?

Correct, WordPress has a nice spam filter (Akismet) and requires me to approve every (legit) comment before it is posted, so that is pretty nice :-)

      > Is it safer to ask the user to calculate a mathematical operation like 5+9-8 ?

Maybe, I haven't had any problems here yet, so I haven't tried anything else

If you have anything specific in mind, please don't hesitate to contact me on the above email address. Bear in mind, however, that I've just started (Feb 2014) on my master's thesis and I probably won't have that much time to other projects for this year.
